A Creative Card

Last week it was my lovely friend Charlie’s birthday and I wanted to make her a handmade card so that it was more personal and special. To be honest I really struggle to find cards that are just a little bit different in high street shops. And, well it’s not like I don’t have a ton of crafty goodness hanging around the studio now is it!?

After all, Happiness is Handmade.

It also meant I got to play around with my old scrapbook supplies as well, which I miss doing as I am having a year off the commitment of ‘scrapbooking the everyday’ to launch this blog and my future creative biz. So happiness all round I would say and I wanted to show you all what I created as I was pretty darn chuffed with it.

I love love love doilies so this was my starting point. They add a really subtle prettiness, especially when paired with pearls!

I then wanted to add a real pop of colour and this docrafts® Papermania paper flower from their ‘Capsule Collection’ was just the trick and had a pre-made hole in the centre that was just crying out for a pastel pink brad.

I am not being paid to write this, I am not sponsored by them or know any of the people who own or write for their Lifestyle Blog. I just love the App and wanted to share it with you! All photographs are my own.

I had read a fair few reviews and other creative entrepreneurs had written about it so I am naturally intrigued. I am a faithful Instagrammer (search @racheleliston) I instagram all of my iPhone photographs as I love the square format and the ability to totally ‘save’ a blurry of quick snapshot that you are unable to retake. the square was perfect for the scrapbook (I promise to share soon).

So, I was naturally a little dubious amongst this intrigue that another, similar photograph editing App could satisfy my inner artist.
